SOL DE INFANCIA

The former prison of Segovia (Spain), for the collective exhibition titled “Don Antonio. Las vidas de Machado”, hosts Gonzalo Borondo, on the occasion of the 1st Centenary of Antonio Machado’s death .

In this event the artist creates a painting on the facade that takes inspiration from the last line of poetry found by the poet. It was written on a tissue: “Estos dias azules y este sol de infancia”. The work of art is developed on two sides of the glass facade during April 2019. A thistle painted on the glass that, thanks to the movement of the light (artificial or not ), appears as if it glows or as a shadow.
